A mind-blowing experience, we arrived at 11:30 AM. They gave us the rooms after we paid in cash, we noticed after a few minutes that the bathroom drain was not working and the toilet was dirty with toilet paper. We promptly asked them to come to the room to show them the problem. The lady said that some workers had come to make a repair. And that the toilet flush was working until a few minutes before. Stunned by the answer, we explored the room, which seemed run-down and dirty with dusty sheets. Meanwhile, the lady returned and changed her story, saying that the toilet was not working due to a breakdown in the street pipe. After a few more minutes, she retracted, saying that there was a problem with the water main from the mainland and invited us not to use the shower until the evening since the matter would be resolved. Suspicious, I called the municipal police, who confirmed the problem to me, saying that the matter had already been reported at 9:00 AM and that it was not known when things would return to normal. Therefore, having learned of the bad faith, we asked the lady for a refund of the payment (760 euros) and to leave. She did not want to refund even one euro of the amount paid. We called a lawyer and we are going to court. I am writing so that these people do not take advantage of other naive people like us.

Well-kept. quiet. refined

We stayed with friends in this house to visit Procida. We felt like guests in someone else's home since the owner lives inside the house and imposes her own rules while monitoring the common areas to ensure they are respected. We had to pay more because we arrived after the included check-in time (8 PM) and no one could welcome us. Additionally, upon arrival, before even seeing the room, we were asked to pay the full amount of the stay in cash. The house is old, but especially very old: a musty smell everywhere, "suite" rooms made from dark attics furnished with old and never-restored furniture. Everything appears dusty, and there are no areas to dry beach towels. Moreover, there were dogs in the house that freely occupied the common areas (after all, it is their home) and no one cared that not all guests might appreciate being welcomed or awakened by the barking of the dogs. The breakfast is meager with the bare minimum; additionally, during the booking process, we requested gluten-free products, which were not available upon our arrival and arrived the next day. We could not even leave our luggage for a few hours on the day of check-out because "the owner had to leave." We spent a lot. There is no feeling of being free, on vacation, in a hotel, but rather of being guests in the home of strangers. The only positive note is the central location; everything else is a failure.

Casa Bormioli has a very central location, easily accessible even on foot from the port; it has tasteful furnishings and the spaces are remarkable, bright and very airy. Even the furnishings are special; the breakfast room has lovely light, high ceilings, white curtains dancing with the wind. Beautiful also the terrace, the right size; breakfast offers a bit the usual things, excellent jams. The staff was helpful, though not warm. A not exactly positive note for the entrance of the building, really let go; what a shame, just repaint something, it does not take much. And perhaps refresh the fabrics of the beautiful sofas and carpets: in this season, not yet very hot, you can perceive the unmistakable smell of moisture. In the bathroom the vacuum cleaner did not work, it would have been important because blind. We had a great time, but we would have expected something more. Our friends had already been guests, a few years ago; they had a memory of a cooler charm, we all grow old, it is true. But then tariffs and attitudes should also age.
