La Pergola

A lovely restaurant in a quiet location in Procida. Quite large - but gets busy so would recommend reservation. The tables are under a large pergola entwined with lemon trees, very atmospheric. Like a lot of Procida, it is not as geared up to serve international tourists as some resorts (seems like most visitors are Italians,) so be prepared to practice your Italian skills. This is not a criticism! We struggled a bit with the menu, the staff helped us as much as they could (their English is better than my Italian). The food was excellent, very tasty and clearly prepared with great skill and attention. Not cheap - the price was fair for the quality of the meal. The Limoncello digestive was delicious. The place was very busy on a Tuesday evening in September, which suggests the locals know it is a good venue. Highly recommended
